There is a public beach (Town of Woodstock) on the south shore, boating and fishing are popular, but no gasoline-powered motors are allowed on the Lake. Currently, Mirror Lake contains some 860,000 m3 of water. Mirror Lake stratifies twice each year. It often has little or no oxygen below the 10m depth in late summer, but that does not normally occur in late winter.
