        Blue bead-lily or dogberry (Clintonia borealis) is a clonal summer herb found in patches throughout the watershed. However, it is more common at high elevations in association with the boreal transition forest (fir-spruce-white birch). The species spreads by rhizomes which grow in the forest floor or upper mineral soil. Fruits are blue when ripe and are discolored in the photo below.
