This is a portion of the hydrograph from W6 on Aug. 14,
2000. Each box along the x axis is 15 minutes. Noon on the 14th is
shown. Each box on the y axis is 0.01 feet of water height in the V-notch.
This axis is not linear in relation to translating height into flow. The
relationship is logarmithic. Point A points to the base flow which changes
at 3:30 in the afternoon (point B) as the stream starts to rise. The stream
rises until around 8:00 PM (point C) when it peaks and starts to decline.
